This will probably be the last playbill I’m designing this season. Trying to shift time and focus to some other projects.
Smokey Joe’s Cafe is a collection of 40 songs that, on one hand, gives tribute to the accomplished songwriting team, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, who wrote for such legendary artists as The Coasters, The Drifters, Elvis, Peggy Lee, Big Mamma Thornton, and more. On the other hand, the songs in this musical revue are cleverly arranged in a thought-provoking manner.

I lost a best friend this summer.
Jean V. Dunnick, age 79, of Venice, Florida, passed away on June 10, 2008. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Venice Corvette Club, Order of Eastern Star and she was also an avid sports fan. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Perry E. Dunnick; two sons, Regan T. Dunnick of Osprey, Florida, Reginald D. Dunnick of Temple Terrace, Florida as well as a grandson, Brandon T. Dunnick of Orlando, Florida. Included as well, are daughter-in-laws, Debbie A. Dunnick, Martha Dunnick and brother and sister-in-law, Sherdel & Ernestine Snyder of Pennsylvania.
I know that my grandmother would expect me to continue on. To create and share what I love with those close to me.

Above is the artwork created for UCF Opera’s “Double Trouble”. A comedic opera about two separated brothers and multiple, mistaken identity situations. I used pen and ink along with painted textures to create the illustration. Requiem Roman is the face I set and then altered by hand to create the title.

Hope all had a great holiday and enjoyed time with their loved ones. I had a great time with friends and family, spending the better part of the holidays in Sarasota. Should have a lot of new projects to share in the upcoming months, as well as some new opportunities opening in design.

New UCF Football recruiting materials. Foldout mailer with poster. Last minute NCAA regulations would not allow us to use the original art for the poster. I ended up using the media guide cover and altering the colors to match the overall look of this piece.
